Dr. Pradeep Kumar Choudhury was born on 17th January 1967 at Gudari, a village known for its rich cultural heritage as well as agricultural affluence. Dr. Choudhury completed his school education and Graduation at Gunupur. A First Class Post-Graduate in Economics with a Gold Medal in BJMC and a Master's Degree holder with first class in Journalism and Mass Communication, from Berhampur University in 1991. Started his career in life serving as a Lecturer in Economics in Gunupur College, Gunupur (1989-90). Then a special correspondent of different Odia dailies, again a Lecturer in Laxmipur College, Laxmipur (1992-95).

He had a leap from the remote tribal area of the Eastern Ghats to the Capital City of India, New Delhi, from an humble teacher in Economics to the much coveted post of P.A. to Dr. Giridhar Gamang, the then Union Minister of Mines (Independent charge) 1995-96. Then he joined the glamorous Indian Information Service in 1998. Dr. Choudhury served as the Field Exhibition Officer, DAVP, Bhubaneswar and News Editor of All India Radio, Cuttack and now works as Media & Communication Officer in PIB, Bhubaneswar, and holds the post of Member Secretary of IMPCC (Inter Media Publicity Coordination Committee), Odisha region, Ministry of I & B, Govt. of India. Apart from his professional career he is a poet at heart penning several poems in Odia, his mother tongue and also in English. Above all, the most dignified and colorful feather in his cap is his knowledge in both practical and theory of Astrology, both eastern and western. For his merit and excellence he has been honoured by many national and international organisations.
